Ceropegia woodii String of Spades

Ceropegia woodii String of Spades

  • Ceropegia woodii String of Spades is a member of the "String of Things" Ceropegia succulent family. It has green, spade-shaped leaves decorated with tender, cream-colored veins. This plant is significantly rarer than its popular family member, String of Hearts.

String of Spades has trailing stems, making it a beautiful plant for hanging baskets both indoors and outdoors. This is a beautiful must-have for any houseplant collector.

Flowers are pink and purple, lantern-shaped, and grown in the spring/summer.

  • Partial sun to partial shade or bright, indirect light. Give this plant 3 to 6 hours of sunlight/indirect light per day but avoid scotching sun. On the other hand, with too little light, the plant may stretch its leaves outward.

This plant is slightly drought-tolerant and needs watering about once every couple of weeks or when the soil is almost dry. Reduce watering in the winter. Ensure a medium humidity level using misting, pebble trays, and humidifiers.

    Well-Drained, Porous potting soil.

Optimal temperature: 65 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Avoid temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

String of Spades should be fertilized once during the growing season (spring/summer)with diluted houseplant fertilizer.
